2011 Li-Ning Badminton Open - Singapore

Today morning played badminton with friends from India, Pakistan and Singapore (Chinese). Usually we play every Sunday 9am-12nn in Greendale School in Punggol (behind Punggol Plaza mall). Quit earlier than usual at 11.30am to head home and took my canon 550D & 70-200mm f4L IS lens. Hopeful to shoot Lin Dan in his best (like yesterday's game against Peter Gade of Denmark).

Today was disappointing. Lin Dan chickened. Chen Jin (or Jin Chen - whatever) won by a walk-over that was boo'ed by all spectators including me... BOOO! made in china. Lutong macau.
Wanted to post all my shoots but felt lazy today, perhaps by next weekend folks.

2011 Li-ning Open Singapore today, Lin Dan (BWF seed #2 in red) disappointed hundreds of badminton fans by choosing not to play china compatriot Jin Chen (seeded #17 in yellow). Sketchy report cite he got "abdominal flu" ... kabag lang naman yan. Sana inexhibition game na lang para to delight fans who came to see Lin Dan play. Die-die oso must play lah!

HP Pavilion g4-1020tx, ATBP (2011 RSAF Open house, Paya Lebar Airbase)

Yes finally i had some savings to buy me a new hp laptop. first thing i did was install Lightroom3, PSE 8 and PS CS5. Of course i still installed my favorite GIMP 2.6 and Canon DPP...

Played around with LR3 to create an HDR effect for a single photo. Actually, not a real HDR because it was not shoot "bracketed".. just tweaked Exposure, Recovery, Fill Light, Blacks, Brightness, Contrast, Clarity, Vibrance, Saturation & Sharpening - all available tools inside LR3.

Like the way it turned out, sureal. My favorite is #2 & 3. By the way, above photos were snapped last RSAF Open house @ Paya Lebar airbase, Singapore 28-29 May 2011. RSAF showcaesd newly acquired F-15SG Strike Eagles.

Maybe i need to try the real HDR (tone mapping) for a bracketed shot one weekend. Let me know if you are interested to have the original photo so you can practice your Lightroom tweaks or a bit of tone-mapping.

PS. whoah, i missed my mother. It's her 75th bday today. Can only call long distance but cant see her, maybe next year i'll make it home mama.
